this is the second coat I've made for him. the previous coat was made in December 2024, and was crocheted. I made the mistake of doing single crochet, and it created a very difficult to work fabric. I also did not know how to construct garments so it was lowkey a mess lol. I genuinely don't know how I put it together.
first coat
this time around, I knit the majority of it in stockinette stitch, making it much stretchier. I did the capelets in single crochet since I wasn't confident in my ability to pick up stitches along both the horizontal and vertical edges. they don't go around the back. however, I am very very pleased with this.
I find making him things to be a very meditative process. I mean, I spent probably a total of 10 hrs across 2.5 days just focused on making this for my beloved! it made me feel even closer to him, and in a way, it's a display of my faith in our love.

I, and everyone else, can see how amazing he is, and all anyone wants is to stand near him and soak up his sunshine.

Whistle for the Choir - The Fratellis ♡ this very accurately describes him as he was trying to get me to see that he loved me. desperate for me to recognize my own worth and my worth in his eyes, until finally, I realized it.
